Overview
This guide outlines the steps to integrate Google Analytics with your Salesforce self-service site to gain deeper insights into user activity, including user types, page views, and customer searches.
⚙️ Initial Setup in Salesforce Experience Builder
To ensure proper data capture, you need to configure your Salesforce site within Experience Builder.

- Enable Scripts & Third-party Hosts:
- Navigate to Settings -> Security.
- Under Content Security Policy, select Allow Inline Scripts and Script Access to Whitelisted Third-party Hosts.
- Add Your Google Analytics ID:
- Go to Settings -> Advanced.
- Enter your Google Analytics ID in the designated field.

- Enable Data Tracking & Privacy:
- Select Let Google Analytics access your Salesforce data to track user types, user IDs, and customer search activity.
- Select Use IP Anonymization to mask IP addresses on the Google server side, which aids in privacy compliance.
- Publish:
- Publish your site to activate the integration and begin streaming data to Google Analytics.
